In Schedules, some zones don’t have a labor curve because there are no clear means to determine when is the best time to use their labor hours.
For example, unlike customer service, which needs more cashiers working when more customers are shopping, these zones’ staffing needs aren’t time sensitive. When the work gets done is less important because enough employees are being scheduled each day to finish it. Therefore, the staffing needs for these zones are shown differently in Dayforce.
Because the labor needs of these zones don’t change from hour to hour, you won’t see when you are under- or overstaffed at different points in the day. Instead, Dayforce graphs the number of scheduled hours in purple. The coverage score shows how close you are to meeting the staffing need for the whole day.
