Waive Incidents

If you recorded an incident that you don’t want to count toward an employee’s attendance record, you can waive it in Attendance Management.

Role feature access: Attendance Management > Waive Incidents

To waive an incident:

  1. Go to Attendance Management and load attendance data.
  2. In the Incidents tab, click the icon in the Status column next to an incident. Incidents marked with an exclamation () haven’t been waived. Dayforce shows details about the incident:
  3. Incident details.
  4. Select the Waived checkbox. The Status icon changes to “waived” ().
  5. Click OK.

After you click OK, Dayforce tracks the waived incident in the Waived Audit section of the Incident dialog box. The application shows the last waive action, who initiated the waive action, and the date and time of the waive action.

Additionally, after you click OK and finish waiving incidents, Dayforce shows the waived incidents in the Pending Calculation list. You need to recalculate your attendance management records to see the effect on employee violations. See Recalculate Attendance Management Records.
