Dayforce tracks several metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs) for your location. Measuring sales or number of transactions, labor hours or cost, or any other piece of information that is a useful indicator as to how your location is performing.
You can view the details of your KPIs and operations in Operation View. Dayforce shows your sales, labor hours, labor cost, and wage cost as a percentage of sales (wage %) for one week at a time and tracks your KPIs for each week and compares them to your plan.
To view the details of your location’s operations:
- Go to Operation View.
- If the top level of your organization is configured with a KPI metadata policy, Dayforce might automatically load a dashboard and operations chart. If not, click Load and specify a location in your organization to load.
- In the Scope drop-down list, select the areas of your location to include.
- Depending on your access, and how Dayforce is configured, you can select to review the details of a single department in your location, or an aggregate of all the departments in the location.
- By default, Dayforce loads the dashboard that’s at the top of your dashboards list. To show a different dashboard, select it in Dashboard drop-down list. Dayforce shows any actual or forecasted KPI figures associated with the dashboard for the week. If you’re viewing the current or future week, Dayforce marks figures for future days with an asterisk (*) and labels the last column Projected where Dayforce totals your projected figures. When you are viewing current only values, the last column is labeled Total. Dayforce highlights, in red, when actual or forecasted values are negative.
Note: Dayforce shows the figures for the selected location. If you manage multiple locations, you can view the figures for each.
These figures are just some of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that Dayforce calculates and tracks in your location’s plan. The KPIs help you to define your location’s scheduling needs and get an idea of how well your location is performing day-to-day and week-to-week.
Dayforce takes the figures from different phases in your plan, depending on whether you are looking at figures for the past, current, or future dates:
- For past dates: Shows your location’s actual figures.
- For today or future dates: Shows your adjusted sales figure. The other figures, like hours and cost, are from your plan’s schedule phase.
Note: Dayforce marks today and dates in the future with an asterisk (*) in the column headers of the Operation View grid.
Dayforce might also show these figures in a trend chart or KPI graph, depending on the loaded dashboard’s configuration:
To view a tooltip containing the numerical value depicted in the graph, hover the cursor over the graph’s bars or points.
Dayforce uses several calculations to generate your location’s KPIs for the different phases of the plan. See The Planning Process.
