In Projects in the Details tab, you can configure the general properties for your top-level and child projects. This tab is divided into three sections:

- Date
- Budgeted and Actual

| Project Name (required) | The project’s name. |
| Project Description | The project’s description. |
| Taxation Address |
(US Only) Role feature access: Projects > Project Taxation Address Available |
| Use Resident Address For Taxation |
(US Only) If necessary, as an alternate way to enable project-based taxation, select this checkbox to specify the employee’s primary residential address as the taxation address. When this option is selected, employees are taxed based on their primary residential address for the earnings that are allocated to a project. If this checkbox is selected, the Taxation Address drop-down list is unavailable. This setting appears only if the Project Taxation Address Available role feature is enabled under Projects in System Admin > Roles in the Features tab. |
| Clock Code | If employees are going to record time against the project at the clocks, you need to specify a code in this field. Clock codes are a set of digits that the clocks use to identify the different projects. The number of digits depends on how the clocks are configured. For more information, contact your system administrator. |
| XRef Code | The project’s cross-reference code. This code must be unique and must not contain special characters. |
| Priority Level | A number that represents the priority level. This number is only for informational and sorting purposes and is shown in reports generated in Projects. |
| Ledger Code |
The ledger account associated with this job so that Dayforce associates the pay amounts for each job with the appropriate general ledger account. This information can be exported with the Payroll GL Export task. This functionality can be used only if Dayforce is configured to use payroll features. When running as a standalone Workforce Management application, Dayforce doesn’t use this field. |
| Account # | The account number. This field is only for informational use and appears in reports generated in Projects. |
| IFRS Classification | Designates the account number entered in the Account # field as an IFRS standardized account. This field is only for informational use and is shown in reports generated in Projects. |
| Certified Payroll Project Number |
(Optional) The number of the certified payroll export configuration that you want to associate with this project. See Certified Payrolls in the Dayforce Implementation Guide. |
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Start Date and Due Date | The project’s effective date range. This time period defines the effective date range of the project. |
| Completed Date |
The completed date of the project. It’s grayed out and unavailable until the project is completed. When the project is completed, you can update the completed date in this field. Eligible employees can only record worked time against the project until the completed date is reached. |
| % Complete | The percentage of the project that’s complete. When you enter 100 to denote the project’s completion, the Completed Date field becomes available. |
| % Time Elapsed |
This read-only field shows the percentage of time that’s elapsed, based on the project’s start date, due date, and the current date. This figure is calculated as follows: # of Days Between Today and Start Date / # of Days Between Start Date and Due Date * 100 = % Time Elapsed |

| Actual Hours | This read-only field shows the project’s actual hours, if available. This figure represents the aggregate number of hours that were logged by employees. |
