Dayforce shows the add activity icon only if at least one activity is configured for one job assignment at a location.

Add task icon. Add Task: Enables add task mode. You can select a task from a list to add to shifts. When you select a task, the schedule automatically highlights the employees that can work the task and shades out the employees that can’t. Dayforce shows the task icon only when at least one labor-impacting task is planned for the selected week.
Delete icon. Delete: Enables delete mode. You can click a shift or one of its components (that is, meals, breaks, activities, or tasks) to delete them.
Stack icon. Stack: Stacks shifts one on top of the other to remove gaps in the schedule. This button appears only in the Coverage View.
Coverage icon. Coverage: Opens the Select Coverage Display list, from which you can select the coverage that you want to view. Dayforce shows this button only after you publish your plan and generate the labor curve.

Note: Dayforce shows the stack and coverage icons at the bottom of the screen, far below the other buttons in the vertical scrollbar.

When you select a shift in the Bar View, Dayforce highlights it in blue. When you click the shift’s label, the Edit Shift Details slide-out panel opens on the right side of the screen so that you can view and edit the shift’s details:
