The Assignment Tab

In Projects in the Assignment tab, you can assign projects to levels of your organization and to individual employees and job assignments.

Before You Begin: The Employee Assignment, Department Assignment, and Job Assignment settings aren’t available when you’re creating a new project. These settings are available only after you save the project. Further, these settings are available only for child projects at the bottom of the project hierarchy or top-level projects that don’t contain child projects.

Organization Assignment settings
Setting Description
Organization

The level of your organization that the project will be assigned to. Projects are available to eligible employees in the selected location or in locations underneath the selected organizational unit in the hierarchy.

Any eligible employees who work at an organization that is assigned a top-level project are assigned to its child projects, as well.

Parent Project When the selected project is a child project, this field shows the top-level project that it belongs to. You can select a different project in the drop-down list to reassign the selected project to.

The settings in the Project Assignment and Product Assignment sections are derived from Org Setup > Labor Metrics. See Create Project Metrics in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
