In Schedules in the Grid View, you can set whether Dayforce shows Shift Marketplace employees. After you load a location, click Options and in the General Options section, select the Display Shift Marketplace Employees checkbox. When this checkbox is selected, Dayforce shows Shift Marketplace employees in the schedules grid. These are employees who can pick up shifts at the location in Shift Marketplace (that is, an employee with a secondary work assignment in People with the Shift Marketplace checkbox selected). Dayforce shows Shift Marketplace employees along with employees who work at the location on a primary or secondary work assignment. Employees with primary and secondary work assignments are shown by default.
Access and configuration:
- Role authorization access: Schedule Data
- Client properties: Scheduling > Shift Marketplace (Select the checkbox)
Dayforce marks Shift Marketplace employees in the Employees column with the Shift Marketplace icon (
). If an employee has a shift that was posted in Shift Marketplace, Dayforce also marks the shift with the shift marketplace icon in the schedules grid.
The application also grays out Shift Marketplace employees in the schedules grid because the manager can’t schedule them:
Note: Depending on your Dayforce configuration, some Shift Marketplace employees might not have their schedules grayed out. If an employee has two work assignments at the loaded location and one is a Shift Marketplace work assignment, Dayforce marks them with the Shift Marketplace icon but doesn’t gray out their schedule cells. Because they have a non-Shift Marketplace work assignment, the location’s manager can still schedule them for work using the non-Shift Marketplace work assignment.
When the Display Shift Marketplace Employees checkbox is cleared, Dayforce hides these employees if they don’t have any Shift Marketplace shifts for the week. Based on the example in the previous screenshot: Bobby Brooks doesn’t have any shifts for the week of November 17. After the schedule manager clears the Display Shift Marketplace Employees checkbox, the application no longer shows Bobby Brooks in the schedule. However, the application still shows Caesar Marks because they have a Shift Marketplace shift that week:
