In Multi-Week Calendar, you can set whether Dayforce shows Shift Marketplace employees. After you load a location, click Options and in the View Options section, select the Display Shift Marketplace Employees checkbox. After you select this checkbox, Dayforce adds Shift Marketplace employees to the Employee column and marks them with the Shift Marketplace icon:
Client properties: Scheduling > Shift Marketplace (Select the checkbox)
The application also grays out Shift Marketplace employees who are from an outside location in the calendar grid. This behavior occurs because the manager can’t schedule these employees or submit time away on their behalf. In the screenshot above, the manager has loaded the Plant 1 location. Because Aaron Nobbe is a Shift Marketplace employee who can pick up shifts at Plant 1 but doesn’t have a primary work assignment for the location, the manager doesn’t have access to create shifts or time away for Aaron.
Employees who have both a Shift Marketplace work assignment and a non-Shift Marketplace work assignment at the same location are marked with the Shift Marketplace icon, but their calendar cells aren’t grayed out. For example, in the screenshot above, Barclay Williams is marked with the Shift Marketplace icon but his calendar cells aren’t completely grayed out like Aaron Nobbe’s. Barclay has two secondary work assignments for Plant 1: the Maintenance work assignment, which is a Shift Marketplace assignment, and the Assembly work assignment, which is a non-Shift Marketplace assignment. The manager for Plant 1 can click on a white calendar cell for Barclay and assign him shifts for the Assembly work assignment, but not for the Maintenance work assignment:
