Depending on how Dayforce is configured, your employees might have to sign off on changes that you make to their posted schedules. This process is called schedule acceptance.
Role feature access:
- Schedule Setup > Schedule Setup > Schedule Acceptance
- Schedule Setup > Schedule Setup > Schedule Change Policy
With schedule acceptance, Dayforce shows an offered icon () when you add or edit a posted shift in Schedules or Centralized Schedules. When you click Save, you can confirm that Dayforce should notify the affected employees. When you confirm, employees receive an actionable message in Message Center. Depending on how schedule acceptance is configured, you might not be able to edit shifts after you send schedule acceptance offers.
The icon remains on the shifts until the employee accepts or rejects the schedule acceptance offer. When an employee responds an offer, you receive a message by email, text message, or Message Center.
Dayforce then removes the pending icon from the shifts and, if the employee accepted the offer, Dayforce updates the shifts to reflect the change.
You can view rejected offers in the Rejected Offers tab of the Problems panel:
The Rejected Offers tab highlights the days that contain rejections and shows employees’ response messages.
You can use the Expire Schedule Acceptance Offer background job to expire pending schedule offers after a certain amount of time. See Set Expiration Dates for Schedule Acceptance Offers in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
