Resolve Mass Exceptions

If you have exceptions in your timesheet due to tardies and missing time entries, you might be able to resolve them with a mass edit. Click Mass Action and in the slide-out panel, click Resolve Mass Exceptions and then click Next. Dayforce shows any exceptions that are eligible for a mass edit in the Accepted tab and selects them, by default:

When you apply this functionality, Dayforce resolves missing time entries by applying the scheduled times of meals, breaks, and shift start and end times to the shift, as necessary. For tardies, Dayforce applies the default resolution codes that were set up for exception pay codes.

Dayforce also lists shifts with exceptions that are ineligible for a mass action in the Rejected tab. You need to adjust these shifts individually in the timesheet to resolve any issues.

To mass resolve exceptions:

  1. Go to Timesheets and load a location.
  2. Click Mass Action. The Mass Action slide-out panel opens.
  3. Click Resolve Mass Exceptions and then click Next. The Review and Complete screen opens.
  4. In the Accepted tab, review the shifts with exceptions that can be resolved with a mass edit. To exclude a shift from the mass edit, clear the shift’s checkbox.
  5. (Optional) Add a comment. This comment will be shown as a manager comment for the shifts that are included in the mass edit.
  6. (Optional) In the Rejected tab, review the shifts with exceptions that can’t be resolved with a mass edit, if available.
  7. Click Complete.
