Record Time

Before You Begin: Depending on how the employee’s time entry policy is configured, Dayforce might not show some of the options described below.

To record time by adding new segments to the timesheet:

  1. Go to Manager Timesheet and load the relevant week. See Load Timesheets.
  2. Click the add icon for the applicable day in the timesheet.
  3. Record the hours for each segment by entering the total number of hours in the duration column.
  4. (Optional) Specify a different location or job assignment, and record any projects, dockets, quantities, or comments.

If you work more than one shift in a day, you can record a second shift by adding another row.

Dayforce inserts a new row for the shift, and the start time defaults to the end time of the shift immediately before it. For example, if one shift is already scheduled from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and you add another shift to the same day with a duration of four hours, Dayforce sets the start time of the new shift to 2:00 PM and the end time to 6:00 PM.
