You must post shifts for bidding in Schedules or Centralized Schedules before employees can bid on them.
Note: After you post an unfilled shift and save your changes, you can still delete the shift from the schedule. However, depending on your Dayforce configuration, you might not be able to edit an unfilled shift after you post it and save your changes. See Edit Posted Unfilled Shifts.
To add unfilled shifts and post them for bidding:
- Go to Schedules or Centralized Schedules and load a template.
- (Centralized Schedules only) Expand the grouping hierarchy to view scheduled shifts.
- Add an unfilled shift. This process is different depending on your schedule view:
- If you’re using the Grid View, in the [Unfilled] row, select a cell and then click the add icon. In the Add Schedule dialog box that opens, configure the shift’s details.
- If you’re using the Bar View (Schedules only), click the add shift icon and in the [Unfilled] row, click and drag the cursor to create an unfilled shift. To specify or edit some of the shift’s details, select the shift and click the arrow (
) on the right side of the screen to open the Edit Shift Details slide-out panel. Alternatively, depending on your Dayforce configuration, the system might show the Edit Schedule panel by default after you select the shift.
- Click the post unfilled schedule icon (
). If you’re using the Grid View, click OK to confirm your changes. Dayforce closes the dialog box.
- Click Save.
- When the schedule is ready, click Post. Posting the schedule makes it available to your employees.
