In task management, the gatekeeper role is responsible for reviewing newly created tasks and either assigning them or updating the task’s status to communicate that the task is deferred or rejected.
This is an optional step in the task management process and is performed only for tasks that are created in the pending state. Task creators have the option to skip gatekeeper functionality by creating tasks that are already in the assigned state. Tasks are assigned, rejected, or deferred on a location by location basis.
To perform the gatekeeper role:
- Go to Task Management and, in the List View tab, select a task.
- In the location details section, select a location.
- Click the arrow (
) to expand the record for the selected location.
- In the General tab, select an option in the Status drop-down list.
- Click Save.
