Pay Detail Report

The Pay Detail Report in Timesheets summarizes the pay details of your location’s employees for a day, week, or date range you specify. It lists the amount of time employees work, recorded against different pay codes and categories, and the various pay rates they earn and how much they're paid each day.

Setting Description
Organization

The org unit to report on.

When you click the org picker icon (), Dayforce shows an enhanced org picker that functions slightly differently than the legacy org picker. See Org Pickers in the Getting Started with Dayforce guide.

Date The time period that you want to report on. You can report on today, yesterday, a selected week, date range, or a pay period for one pay group.
Include unpaid hours The report includes hours from unpaid pay categories.
Include unpaid hours in total Dayforce adds any unpaid time to the report totals.
Show hours in full precision Dayforce doesn’t round decimal places in the hours in the report. With the checkbox cleared, Dayforce rounds the values to two decimal places.
Show hours in HH:MM Dayforce shows times as hours and minutes rather than as a decimal value.
Show Detail in the summary This checkbox is cleared by default, and Dayforce shows the average rate in cases where pay details share the same pay code, pay category, and job, but have different rates. Select the checkbox and Dayforce shows each rate in a separate row.
Report Level

The report’s scope. Select an option:

  • Employee Daily Details: Include in the report details from the employee’s day, including the times that the employee clocked in and out, their department, and jobs they worked during the day.
  • Employee Summary: Summarize pay details by the number of hours on the timesheet against each pay code and pay category.
Employees

The employees to include in the report. To include all employees in the report, select All Employees.

To report on only one employee, select Selected Employee. If you select this option, click Choose Employee. Dayforce shows the Search dialog box where you can narrow your employee selection with several filters.

Status Employment statuses to report on. The report includes only employees with the selected statuses.
Pay Type Pay types to report on. The report includes only employees within the selected pay types.
Pay Code Pay codes to report on. The report includes only time within the selected pay codes.
Pay Category Pay categories to report on. The report includes only time within the selected pay categories.
Sort By Sort the report records by first name, last name, or employee number.
Group By Group the report records by department, employee, zone, or organization.
Description A report description. Dayforce shows the description next to the file name in Message Center.
Format The format for your report output. You can select PDF or Excel file format.
