Depending on how Dayforce is configured, you can override vacation hours in time away requests so that you don’t have to make any manual adjustments to the timesheet. In an employee’s time away request, expand the Override Hours panel and manually adjust the requested hours for the appropriate dates. You can override time away hours in any feature where time away requests are viewable and editable, including Approvals, Centralized Schedules, Multi-Week Calendar, Schedules, and Timesheets.
The following screenshot shows an example of the Override Hours panel in Approvals:
In this example, the manager has opened a pending time away request for Alicia Tibon Flores. The hours shown in the Override Hours panel reflect the total number of hours that Alicia requested off. However, the manager wants to override Alicia’s vacation hours for Friday from 8.00 hours to 4.00 hours, because Alicia works only four hours on Fridays:
Now, Alicia’s total pending vacation hours for this request are 12.00 (instead of 16.00). Her timesheet is updated automatically to reflect the overridden vacation hours.
