Dayforce contains features where you can manage time away from work (TAFW) on behalf of your employees.
Role feature access: Application Container > Approvals > Time Off
With the appropriate access in the following features, you can create, edit, and approve or deny time away requests for your employees:
- Approvals
- Centralized Schedules
- Multi-Week Calendar
- Schedules
- Timesheets
Time away functionality in Dayforce differs depending on your configuration. The settings that govern how and when employees can submit time away requests are located primarily in their time off policy assignments. Time off policies are configured in Time Away From Work > Time Off Policy and assigned to employees in the Employment > Employment Settings screen of People. In addition to time off policies, there are other settings, such as role features, access authorizations, and client properties, that dictate how time away from work functions in Dayforce. See Time Away From Work Configuration in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
