Generate Schedules by Copying Weeks

In Schedules and Centralized Schedules, you can copy a schedule from one week to another.

Dayforce respects filters that you apply to the schedule when you copy weeks. Before you copy a week, make sure that there are no applied filters that could affect the shifts that Dayforce copies.

Role feature access: Schedules > Copy Week

To copy a schedule:

  1. Go to Schedules or Centralized Schedules and load a schedule.
  2. (Centralized Schedules only) Expand the location grouping in the hierarchy, then expand the Employee section.
  3. Click Generate > Copy Week. The Copy Week panel opens.
  4. In the Copy Week of and Day of the Week fields, specify the week and days that you want to copy shifts from.
  5. (Optional) Select the following checkboxes:
    • Generate unfilled schedule: Create unfilled shifts rather than assigning the shifts to the same employees in the original schedule.
    • Only Not Traded: Copy only shifts that weren't traded by employees.
  6. Click Copy and then click Save.

A notification tells you how many shifts Dayforce copied.
