You can filter your location’s timesheets so that Dayforce shows only the shifts that meet certain criteria.
Note: If your organization uses a period authorization policy, Dayforce filters based on unauthorized periods, rather than individual shifts when you select Unauthorized Records in the Details filter. For more information about period authorization policies, see Period Authorization Policies in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
To filter the timesheet:
- Go to Timesheets and load a timesheet.
- In the toolstrip, click Filter. The Filter panel opens.
- Click Add Filter and select the filters that you want to use.
- Click Update. The panel updates to show the filters that you selected.
- Enter the values that you want to filter based on. For example, if you select the Details category, and then click Errors and Time Exceptions, Dayforce shows only timesheets that contain an error or clock entry exception.
- (Optional) Click the Highlight switch to enable highlighting on the timesheet. This switch grays out shifts and employees that don’t meet the filter criteria so that you can identify those that do.
- In the following screenshot, Schedule Not Worked is selected in the Status filter, so when the Highlight switch is enabled, shifts with any status other than Schedule Not Worked are grayed out:
-
- Click Apply or press the Enter key to close the panel and filter the timesheets. The Filter button turns dark blue to indicate that a filter is applied.
