You can edit worked shifts in Timesheets if they don’t match an employee’s actual time and attendance.
To edit shift details:
- Go to Timesheets and load a location.
- Select the shift you want to edit and do one of the following:
- Click the edit icon (
).
- Click the down arrow next to the edit icon and select Edit Shift Times.
- Click the edit icon (
- Dayforce opens a dialog box where you can edit the shift details:

- Modify the shift details as needed and click OK. The dialog box closes and the edit icon (
) is shown on the shift to indicate that it was modified.
- Click Save.
If you modify shifts in Schedules that have an associated clock entry, Dayforce regenerates any clock entry data, tardy pay adjustments, and pay summaries automatically. Also, if you excuse tardies in Timesheets, the tardies remain excused in Schedules when you edit shifts, unless you edit a tardy’s corresponding time segment.
Edit Multiple Shifts in the Timesheets Grid
You can edit multiple shifts at the same time for an employee in Timesheets.
To edit multiple shifts, hold down the Ctrl key and click the shifts that you want to edit. Dayforce highlights your selected shifts in blue. Next, click the edit icon:
The Edit Multiple Shifts dialog box opens:
The number in the Edit Multiple Shifts heading represents the number of shifts being edited. In the screenshot above, three shifts are being edited at the same time.
Modify the shift details as needed and click OK.
