Edit Multiple Shifts
To mass edit shifts:
Go to Timesheets and load a location.
Click Mass Action . The Mass Action slide-out panel opens.
Click Update Shifts and then click Next . The Edit Details screen opens.
In the Identify Action section, select Edit Multiple Shifts and configure the shift’s details in the Edit Shift Details section:Select a location. Select a job assignment. (Optional) Select a pay code. (Optional) Specify the shift start and end times. (Optional) Set any other attributes that are available, such as comments, projects, labor metrics, and dockets and quantities.
In the Edit Transfer Details section, edit the shift’s transfers, if available. This section contains the same settings as the Edit Shift Details section, except it doesn’t contain the Shift Start Time and Shift End Time fields. Instead, configure the following:Set the time type for the transfer: either HH:MM (hours:minutes) or Transfer Duration (Min) . Set the transfer time in the field. Note : If you select Transfer Duration (Min) , the transfer is applied just before the end of the shift. For example, if you enter 60 and the shift ends at 4:00 PM, the transfer applies from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
To remove a transfer, select it and click the remove icon ( ).
In the Add Transfer Details section, add or remove transfers as needed. This section contains the same settings as the Edit Transfer Details section.
To add a transfer, click the add icon ( ).
Click Next . The Review and Complete screen opens showing the employees who meet the shift criteria. Dayforce lists the employees who meet the shift criteria in the Accepted tab, and lists employees who don’t meet the shift criteria in the Rejected tab.
Do any of the following, as needed:Select or clear the checkboxes next to any accepted employees to include or exclude them from the mass action. Use the search field to find specific employees. Review the information in the Rejected tab to learn why some employees were excluded from the mass action. Click Previous to return to the Edit Details screen to edit your configuration.
Click Complete to mass edit the shifts.
