Create Task Index Values by Location

To create task index values by location:

1. Go to Task Setup > Task Index Templates.
2. Click Add.
3. Enter a name and description for the template.
4. In the Effective Period section, click Add.
5. Specify an effective period for the template using the Start Date and End Date fields.
6. Ensure that the Use Location Property checkbox is cleared.
7. Click the drop-down arrow to expand the record.
8. In the Values section, click Add.
9. In the Organization Unit drop-down list, select the appropriate location.
10. Enter a number in the Index Value field. When Dayforce allocates budgeted hours to this location, it will multiply the total budgeted hours for the task by the number you enter. For example, if you enter 0.25, Dayforce would allocate hours to the selected location by multiplying the total budgeted hours by 0.25, meaning that the location would receive 25% of the budgeted hours.
11. Click Save.
