To create task index values by location property:
- Go to Task Setup > Task Index Templates.
- Click Add.
- Enter a name and description for the template.
- In the Effective Period section, click Add.
- Specify an effective period for the template using the Start Date and End Date fields.
- Select the Use Location Property checkbox.
- Click the drop-down arrow to expand the record.
- In the Values section, click Add.
- In the Location Property drop-down lists, specify up to three location properties that a location must be assigned to qualify for the index value. Index values are applied only to locations that are assigned all of the location properties in that row:
-
- In the example above, locations that are assigned both the Urban and High Vol location properties are assigned an index value of 0.5 (or 50% of the budgeted hours), while locations that are assigned both the Urban and Med Vol location properties are assigned a value of 0.25 (or 25% of the budgeted hours).
- Note: If a location qualifies for more than one index value, Dayforce overwrites the previous index value with the next one that the location qualifies for. For example, if a store was assigned the Urban, High Vol, and Med Vol location properties, Dayforce would assign an index value of 0.25 (as it's the last one that the location qualifies for in the list), even though the location also qualified for the 0.5 index value.
- Enter a number in the Index Value field.
- Click Save.
