Configure the Task’s Assigned Locations

After you click Next, Dayforce shows the Assigned Locations section of the wizard.

To configure the task’s assigned locations:

  1. Select the locations to which the task is assigned. You can expand the organizational hierarchy to select a specific region, district, or location.
  2. Note: Depending on your access in Dayforce, you might see only a portion of your organizational hierarchy, or just a single location.
  3. If you selected a task index template, you won’t be able to select locations. Dayforce automatically populates the assigned locations with the ones specified in the template.
  4. (Optional) In the Location Property drop-down list, select one or more location properties.
  5. Click Finish.

Dayforce automatically creates task plans for any labor-impacting tasks that are effective only for a single day, and have both a zone and activity specified. When you click Finish in the Create New Task wizard, Dayforce notifies you that it has created task plans automatically for the assigned locations.
