In ProtoSchedules > Manage ProtoSchedules, you configure a ProtoSchedule’s basic information, such as its name and the locations that it applies to.
Access and configuration:
- Role feature access: ProtoSchedules > Manage ProtoSchedules
- Role authorization access: ProtoSchedules (All Permissions)
To configure ProtoSchedules:
- Go to ProtoSchedules > Manage ProtoSchedules.
- Click Add ProtoSchedule. The Add ProtoSchedule side panel opens.
- Enter a name and, optionally, a description of the ProtoSchedule.
- Select the locations that the ProtoSchedule applies to. The locations that you select must have the same start day of the week. See Configure Locations in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
- Select the ProtoSchedule’s duration and then click OK.
- (Optional) Enter the ProtoSchedule’s effective dates and a cross-reference code.
- Click Save.
When you’re ready to build the ProtoSchedule, click the actions menu icon () in the list and then click Build. Dayforce directs you to ProtoSchedules > Edit ProtoSchedules, where you can add shifts to the ProtoSchedule. See Edit ProtoSchedules.
Note: To edit, copy, or delete a ProtoSchedule, you must have access to all of the ProtoSchedule’s entities. If you don’t have access, you can only build the ProtoSchedule.
