Business Owner Groups for Payroll Import Access

Business Owner Group access is configured for users in HR Admin > Groups, where you add users to a specific group and set the Group Type drop-down list to Payroll Import.

Business Owner Groups are intended to be a customer defined grouping of team members. The intent is to group users together to view and act on transactions only related to their own team members in their respective group. Business Owner Groups work in conjunction with the Payroll Import Access security.

If the user doesn’t need the Business Owner view, that user must still have user access to deduction and earning groupings, set up in System Admin > User. The user's role must also be configured as a Master User. See Payroll Import User Access.

Members of the group are either added automatically using eligibility criteria (with the Use Eligibility Criteria checkbox selected), which requires you to choose the eligibility criteria, or you can add user members to the group by selecting them in the Members tab and adding them individually.

The following is a list of the eligibility filter options available in HR Admin > Groups when you create a group, select Payroll Import in the Group Type drop-down list, and have the Use Eligibility Criteria checkbox selected:
