Anomaly Days

In Anomaly Days, you can mark certain days as anomalies so that Dayforce excludes them from forecasting. For example, if your store closes unexpectedly due to a flood, you can mark this day as an anomaly so that it’s not included as a data point for forecasting.

Before You Begin: Create anomaly day types in Plan Setup > Anomaly Day Type. See Configure Anomaly Day Types in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.

Assign Anomaly Days

To mark a day as an anomaly:

  1. Go to Anomaly Days and click Add.
  2. Enter the date that you want to mark as an anomaly.
  3. In the Organization list, select a location.
  4. Select the anomaly day type.
  5. (Optional) Enter a comment.
  6. Click Save.

Import Anomaly Days

You might be able to use CSV or XML files to import anomaly days directly into Anomaly Days. If this functionality is available to you, Dayforce shows the Import Anomaly Days button in the toolstrip. When you click it, the Import panel opens with details on imported files, up to the date selected in the Show import since field.

To import anomaly days:

  1. Click Import Anomaly Days.
  2. In the Import panel, click Import.
  3. Select the CSV or XML file that you want to import and then click Open.
  4. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
  5. Click Refresh.
