Add Unscheduled Shifts

You can add unscheduled shifts in Timesheets on behalf of an employee who worked unscheduled hours.

To mark worked time that was unscheduled:

  1. Go to Timesheets and load a location.
  2. Select a cell in the timesheets grid, then do one of the following:
    • Click the add new shift icon ().
    • Click the arrow to expand the drop-down list and select Add New Shift.
  3. In the dialog box that opens, modify the shift’s details.
  4. Confirm the shift’s start and end times by clicking the checkmark icons ().
  5. Note: If you don’t confirm the shift’s start and end times, Dayforce doesn’t add the unscheduled shift.
  6. Click OK, then Save.
