Add Time Away in Timesheets

To create a time away from work request:

  1. Go to Timesheets and load a location.
  2. Select a cell, click the down arrow next to the add icon, and click Add New Time Away.
  3. In the Add New Time Away dialog box, configure the request details. See Time Away Request Settings.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To save the changes and leave the request as pending approval, click Save.
    • To save the changes and approve the request, click Approve.

Dayforce adds the time away request to the timesheet.

Alternatively, if you want to create a request for one employee that spans consecutive days, you can click and drag the cursor across multiple cells and click Add New Time Away. When the Add New Time Away dialog box opens, the Start and End fields are populated with the dates you selected in the timesheets grid.
