In Schedules, you can configure shifts as on-call, sometimes referred to as standby shifts. These shifts represent time that an employee isn’t scheduled to work, but is on-call to come in to work, if needed.
Until an employee confirms an on call shift, it doesn’t contribute to covering the labor demand, to the total number of daily hours scheduled, or to the cost of the schedule’s labor. When an employee confirms the shift, Dayforce treats it the same as a regularly scheduled shift.
