Add Files to Task Templates

If Dayforce is configured to support it, you can attach files to task templates. When files are attached to a task template in Task SetupTask Templates, the files are also attached to each new task created from the task template. These files, in turn, can be downloaded by the users assigned to the task.

To add files to a task template:

  1. Go to Task SetupTask Templates.
  2. Select the appropriate task template in the list.
  3. Click the Documents tab.
  4. Click Add File(s) or, if the task template already has an attachment, click Add.
  5. In the Upload Files dialog box that opens, click Browse for file(s) and select the file that you want to upload. You can also drag and drop files into the file window.
  6. Note: Dayforce automatically assigns files a document type, which it uses to identify uploaded files. In Task SetupTask Templates, the files are assigned the TaskDef document type, by default.
  7. Click Upload.

When a file is being uploaded, Dayforce performs anti-virus scanning. If a document is infected, the document is rejected and an error message appears indicating which type of issue was found. Users are reminded that anti-virus protection should still be used for all workstations that are used to access Dayforce.
