Dayforce shows the employee card when you click an employee in different areas of the application like the org hierarchy or in My Teams in the Home page.

Note: Dayforce shows pay amounts in the currency of the country specified in the employee's pay group. See Configure Pay Group Payroll Properties in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.

To view the employee's full record in People, click View Profile. For more information on working with employee HR records, see the HR Administration Guide.

To view the employee's record in relation to the organization hierarchy, click View Hierarchy. See View the Organization Hierarchy.

Employee Card Header

The header section of the employee card contains the following key details about the selected employee:

  • Employee profile picture: Shown on the left side of the header.
  • Employee name and number: Shown with the employee number.
  • Employee pronouns: If enabled, shown under the employee’s name.
  • Job Assignment: Shows the employee's primary work assignment business title. If the employee doesn't have a business title, Dayforce shows their job assignment. If the employee is assigned to a position using Position Management, the position name is shown.
  • Location: Shows the employee's primary work location and onsite department.
  • Note: Dayforce shows an employee's primary location only when you have Can Read permission for the Employee Status Information access authorization. You can find this access authorization in System Admin > Roles, in the Authorizations tab.
  • Status: Shows the employee's current employment status.
  • Performance indicator: Shows a rating level of high, medium, or low for the employee's performance rating.
  • Flight risk indicator: Shows a high, medium, or low level for the employee's flight risk.
  • Contact information: Shows icons that you can click to expand the employee's email address and phone number.
  • Manager: Shows the name of the employee's manager on the right side of the header. If you have access to the manager in Dayforce, their name is a link that you can click to expand their employee card.

Employee Card Tabs

Tab Description
Overview Shows an at-a-glance view of what's happening at the current moment that might need your attention. For example, an employee's current time away, upcoming time away, their work anniversary, and any pending actions that you can complete for the employee. If none of these apply to the employee, Dayforce doesn’t show the Overview tab.
Profile Shows the employee's contact information and employee details.
Time Shows information about the employee's upcoming shifts, worked shifts, time away requests, and cumulative hours.
Pay

Shows information about the employee's pay class, group, type, frequency, and salary or hourly rate. For security reasons, Dayforce hides the salary or rate information. Click View to reveal the pay amount:

Depending on how Dayforce is configured, you might see the employee's total remuneration in the Remuneration field. When the Remuneration field is available, its information is also initially hidden for security reasons. To reveal the employee's total remuneration package, click View.

Benefits Shows information about the employee's benefit elections, by plan type.
Performance Shows information about the employee's goals, competencies, and performance reviews.
Documents Shows the documents associated with the employee. To download a document, click the Download arrow.
Forms Shows the forms associated with the employee. Click a form to open it.
