Your career profile highlights your career experiences, skills, and achievements and is available in the Profile feature, in the Career > Overview tab. This profile is also shown in the Careers > Profile feature, and changes made in either feature are reflected in the other feature automatically.
Depending on when you joined the organization, this profile might already include information that you provided to recruiters for your current position. If the profile is empty, you can add information by uploading a resume or adding details to the individual profile sections.
Your career profile is visible to your managers and might be visible to recruiters. It’s important to keep your profile up to date so that these users can help with your career development and connect you with relevant internal job postings.
In your career profile, you can do the following:
- Upload your resume to populate the career profile sections automatically. See Import Your Resume into Your Career Profile.
- Important: When you import your resume, all existing profile content is replaced.
- Add information to individual sections, or for existing information, click the options menu to edit or remove details.
- Upload files to the Documents section or click the delete icon to remove existing documents.
- Use the Include in profile searches switch to hide or show your profile in recruiting searches. When you opt out of recruiting searches, you won’t be contacted for internal job postings unless you apply to the posting yourself. If you don't see this switch and instead see a message that your profile is searchable, you can't exclude your career profile from recruiter searches.
- Update your short message service (SMS) consent. When you consent to receive SMS messages, recruiters can send text messages to the mobile phone number in your profile. Depending on configuration, the option to consent might not be available. See Consent to SMS Messages.
