Alabama - Birmingham City Changing to Client Responsible - New Filing Requirements [Effective June 1, 2026]

Alabama - Due to the City of Birmingham's new filing requirements, Dayforce can no longer support Birmingham Occupational Tax filings through our standard filing service. Clients must establish access to the City's online portal and submit filings and payments directly, with the first filing and payment due July 20, 2026 . Any funds currently held by Dayforce for remittance will be returned to impacted clients before the due date, while Dayforce will continue to calculate and withhold the tax through payroll processing. We remain engaged with the City regarding the system limitations and will resume filing support if bulk filing capabilities become available in the future. GPTCI-98825
