Maryland - Creditor Garnishment Exemption Change [Effective January 1, 2024]

Effective with this release, Maryland Creditor Garnishment’s state exemption rules will begin using the State Minimum Wage (currently $15.00 per hour) instead of the Federal Minimum Wage (currently $7.25 per hour) in the exemption calculation. GPTCI-56030

Colorado Creditor Garnishment Exemption Change due to State Minimum Wage [Effective January 1, 2025]

Colorado announced that the State Minimum Wage has increased from $14.42 in 2024 to $14.81 in 2025. The Creditor Garnishment Exemption calculation uses the State Minimum Wage as part of the calculation to determine the amount of exempt wages. GPTCI-54959
