By default, Dayforce displays the List View when you open the slide-out panel for a succession plan. However, you can also view the plan in the Talent Matrix view to quickly assess each employee’s potential and to visualize their succession readiness based on their talent factor ratings. The talent matrix is designed to help you identify the employees who are excelling, as well as those who might require additional attention.
You cannot add or delete employees in the Talent Matrix. If needed, open the List view of the succession plan slide-out panel.
Note: Talent matrices are configurable and can be updated for your organization's needs in Succession Setup > Talent Review Setup. See Configure Talent Matrices.
To access the Talent Matrix view for a succession plan:
- Go to Succession > Succession Plans.
- Click the name of a plan to open its slide-out panel.
- At the top-right of the slide-out panel, click Talent Matrix.
- Dayforce switches to the Talent Matrix view, with employees shown in various boxes based on their ratings for the succession readiness factors being plotted:
-
- For example, an employee with a high potential but average performance might be plotted in the “Potential Performer” box to suggest that, with some nurturing, they could improve their performance and become an ideal candidate for succession.
