Dayforce uses workflows to automate business processes. Each workflow represents a single process and captures all of the notifications, forms, and decisions involved in the process. When a user initiates a workflow by submitting an associated form or guided process, the workflow determines what happens at each stage in the process. The Dayforce HR self-service features rely on Message Center to route and show forms and notifications.
Functionality for configuring workflows is contained in the Workflow Administration feature, which contains the following sub-features:
| Sub-Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Workflow Designer | Create workflows that process forms. See Workflow Designer Configuration. |
| Guided Process | Create guided processes, which are a set of related forms that are grouped together and presented to the employee in a single window. See Configure Guided Processes. |
| Role Privileges | Associate forms or guided processes with workflows, and set which roles can access each form. See Associate Forms with Workflows. |
| Form Category | Create form categories, which group forms in Workflow Administration > Role Privileges. See Manage Form Categories. |
| Message Response | Create additional decision node responses, which are available to add to workflows in Workflow Administration > Workflow Designer. See Create Additional Response Options. |
| E-Signature Configuration | Configure e-signatures for forms. See Configure E-Signature Functionality. |
| HR Events |
