When a workflow is active and hasn’t yet saved data to the database, you can manually set the next active workflow node by right-clicking the appropriate node on the diagram and clicking Set Active Node.
In the example above, the workflow was routed to an employee’s manager for approval. The workflow remains at the Decision node (highlighted yellow) until the manager approves or rejects the form. However, an administrator can bypass the Decision node and redirect the workflow to the “Route to HR Admin” node. When this is done, the approval request to the manager is cancelled, and the workflow continues from the “Route to HR Admin” node as if the manager decision was accepted.
When you click Set Active Node for a node, Dayforce shows a confirmation message and you can click OK to continue. The node that you set to active in the diagram is highlighted green.
When you click Refresh, a note is added to the node’s history to indicate that it was manually set to active:
