Dayforce triggers the Assignment Changed event when the import includes changes to the job assignment or location of a primary work assignment. Events aren’t triggered for changes to secondary work assignments. Also, the date that the work assignment change occurred must be within the threshold of the HR Import Event Threshold in Days field in the General section in the Properties tab of System Admin > Client Properties.
An event is triggered in the following scenarios:
- Addition of a new primary work assignment where the job assignment or location is different from the previous record.
- An update to an existing primary work assignment where the job assignment or location is different from the original record for the same date.
If the import contains changes to the work assignment, but the job assignment and location aren’t changed, an event isn’t generated.
