Mauritius EDF Form

In the Mauritius EDF form, employees can provide their tax declaration through self-service. Details from the employee record are automatically populated into the form.

The fields in section 1 Employee’s Identification are automatically populated from the employee record and cannot be edited in the form.

When this form is submitted and processed, a tax record is added to the Mauritius tax info section of the Payroll > Tax Definitions screen in People.

The following is a description of the mappings between the form and the tax record in People:

  • The value that users enter in the Name of Employer field isn’t mapped to the tax record. Instead, the legal entity of the employee’s primary work assignment is selected in the Legal Entity setting in the General section of the tax record.
  • The Div/Paysite Code field in the form isn’t enabled and doesn’t map to the tax record.
  • The totals that users enter in each of the subsections of section 3 Exemptions, Reliefs and Deductions are mapped to corresponding fields in the General Information and Exemptions, reliefs, and deduction sections of the record.
  • The Yes or No selection that users make in section 4 First employment/change in employment is carried over to the Have you submitted an EDF to any other employer? checkbox in the First employment/Change in employment section of the tax record.
