Used to complete a Canadian Federal TD1 Personal Tax Credits form.
Information submitted in the form updates the related employee tax information fields for exemptions, allowances, and amounts, shown in the Provincial Tax Info section of the Payroll > Tax Definitions screen in People, including the following rule:
- If the value you entered in the form’s Total Claim Amount field is equal to the basic personal amount, the Apply Default Claim Amount checkbox is selected automatically and Dayforce uses the regulatory default basic personal amount every year going forward.
- If the value you entered in the form’s Total Claim Amount field isn't equal to the basic personal amount, then the claim value is saved in the Total Claim Amount field.
