Using the Direct Deposit form, employees can enter details for direct deposit of pay and other compensation. Employees can provide details for multiple bank accounts, and control how their pay is distributed between the accounts.
The Direct Deposit form contains different fields for banking information depending on the employee’s country.
Each character the employee enters into an account-related field is masked with an asterisk to help secure sensitive information. Employees can click the peek icon () to toggle the visibility of the data.
Employees can upload documents that help to confirm their direct deposit account information in the Supporting Documents section of the form. If the form submission is rejected because the employee uploaded the wrong document, they can add or update supporting documents when the form is routed back to them in the workflow.
If an employee enters details for multiple accounts, their pay is distributed in the order in which the accounts are shown on the form. After the specified amount is distributed to the first account, pay will be distributed to the second account, assuming that there are enough funds left over to do so, until the final account on the list is reached. The Amount value for the final account must always be left blank.
After entering details for multiple accounts, the employee can change the order of the accounts by selecting the account then clicking the Move Up or Move Down buttons.
You can give employees in US or Canadian pay groups the option to delete existing accounts from the form and choose check payment instead of direct bank deposit.
Depending on the associated workflow, the form is sent for approval or immediately processed. After the form has been processed, Dayforce updates the employee’s records in the Payroll > Direct Deposit screen in People
Note: Dayforce sends an email notification to subscribed users when changes are made to an employee's direct deposit information, either in People or when an Employee Personal Information Change Request is approved.
