Before You Begin: The fields described in this section are only intended for internal candidates and not for external candidates. The notification is sent to the employee’s current manager, not the hiring manager for the new job.
You can use the Send to Affected Employee's Manager and Relative Level of Affected Employee's Manager fields in notification node properties to send notifications to an internal candidate’s manager. For example, you can use this field to send a notification to managers when their employees submit a job application.
In the Relative Level of Affected Employee's Manager field, you can enter the level in the management hierarchy to which the notification is sent. For example, if you leave the default setting as “1,” the system sends a notification to the employee’s manager. In another example, if you enter 2, the system sends a notification to the manager of the employee’s manager, but not to the employee’s manager.
