The Restrict Recruiter Visibility Based on Location client property, which is disabled by default, allows you to restrict the recruiters who can be chosen for job requisitions based on location.
When this property is enabled, the Recruiter field is unavailable in job requisition forms until after users select a location. They can only select from locations they have access to. After they select a location, the recruiters list shows only the recruiters whose work assignments include that location. Recruiters who aren't employees are always shown, regardless of the location.
This property applies to all job requisition forms, including workflowed, non-workflowed, job assignments, Position Management, and custom forms.
Note: Job requisitions created before the 2026.1.0 version of Dayforce retain their original settings, with users able to access all recruiters. If this property is enabled and users try to change either the Location or Recruiter fields for these requisitions, the new restriction takes effect and the recruiters list is then filtered based on location.
To configure this client property:
- Go to Recruiting Setup > Client Properties.
- Select the Restrict Recruiter Visibility Based on Location client property.
- Select one of the following options below the property description:
- Enable this feature: Enables the client property to restrict the recruiters who can be chosen for job requisitions based on location.
- Disable this feature: Disables the client property so that users can select from all recruiters regardless of location. This option is selected by default.
- Click Save.
