If your organization uses both Position Management and Recruiting, you should configure Dayforce to use positions as the default source for job descriptions in requisitions. That way, when you create a requisition and select a position, Dayforce automatically populates the Job Description field with the description from the position in Organization DesignerPositions.

To use positions as the default source for job descriptions in requisitions:

  1. Go to Recruiting Setup > Client Properties.
  2. Select the Default Source for Job Requisition Descriptions client property in the list.
  3. Select the Position Level option.
  4. Click Save.

With this option configured, Dayforce uses position descriptions by default in job requisitions. If no position description is available, Dayforce uses the descriptions that are configured in Org Setup > Jobs and Job Assignments. First, it uses the job assignment-level description, and if that isn’t available, it uses the job-level description.
