- Original Organization Designer user interface -
Localization makes it easier for everyone to use Organization Designer in the language they are most comfortable with. You can add localizations for position names and descriptions in the languages that are enabled in your Dayforce environment.
If a localized name and description haven’t been configured for a language, users with that culture setting see the English version by default. English is also the default language when you create new positions. For example, if you use Dayforce in French and you add a new position, the name and description you enter become the English (default) version. You need to add a localization to display the name and description in French to other French users.
After a localization is configured, users see it when they view Organization Designer in that language. If they update the name and description in the localized language, the localization is updated.
To add a localization:
- Go to Organization Designer and click the Positions tab.
- Find the position that you want to localize.
- Click the additional options menu and select Localize.
- Click Add.
- In the Language column, select the language that you want to add the localization for.
- Enter a name and optional description in the selected language.
- Click Save.
