You can use the business unit export to export your business unit hierarchy as of a specified date in Organization Designer > Business Units.

Role feature access: Organization Designer > Business Units > Export

The business unit import accepts an XML file. You can export your business unit hierarchy and edit the file in Excel, and then save it as an XML file and import the changes to the application. See Import Business Units.

To export the file:

  1. Go to Organization Designer > Business Units.
  2. (Optional) To export the business unit hierarchy as of a specific date, select it from the calendar. By default, the current date is selected.
  3. In the toolstrip, click the additional options menu, and then click Export.
  4. If your browser prompts you to save the file, select a location and click Save.
