To add a position edit mode:
- Go to Organization Designer > Configuration.
- Click Add Position Edit Mode.
- Enter a name and a unique reference code for the edit mode.
- (Optional) Enter a description for the edit mode.
- Select the type of access that the edit mode provides.
- If you selected Update Position in step 5, select the position information that you want users to have access to in this edit mode.
After you’ve completed the steps above, Dayforce adds a workflow form with the same name as the edit mode. You’ll use the form in the next step of the configuration in Workflow Administration > Role Privileges. You can also see the edit mode form in Workflow Administration > Form Builder, but you shouldn’t make any changes to the edit mode there. Always update edit modes in Organization Designer > Configuration.
Note: The edit mode stays in Draft status until you complete the next step in the configuration. See Step 3: Configure Workflow Role Privileges.
