Dayforce generates the recovery value for statutory parental leave and includes the totals in EPS reporting. The recovery values are generated automatically and no configuration is required.
When an employee has a statutory allowance for parental leave, including generated earnings or manual entries, one of the following corresponding system memo allowances for the recovery amount is generated for the employee:
- SMP Recovery
- SPP Recovery
- SAP Recovery
- ShPP Recovery
- SNCP Recovery
Dayforce doesn’t include the recovery memo allowance in employee payslips, but includes it in other areas of Payroll such as the Preview and GL Preview tabs of the Employee Preview slide-out panel.
For example, when an employee has an allowance of £450 for statutory maternity pay, the application generates a memo allowance of £414 using the system SMP Recovery allowance code. This is shown in the Preview tab for the selected employee:
Also, in the Tax Month Management subtab of the Post Commit Management tab, when you select a legal entity, open the Tax Month Preview slide-out panel, and click the Tax Month Reconciliation tab, Dayforce shows the recovery amounts in the EPS Summary section:
Notes:
- It isn’t possible to add the recovery memo allowances to an employee's payroll elections.
- Recovery memo allowances aren’t listed in the Earnings tab in Payroll Set-up > Earnings and Deductions or in the Code drop-down list for quick entries in Payroll.
- If you create quick entries for negative statutory allowance amounts, the application generates a negative recovery amount (memo earning).
