UK Pension Employee Data Import

Important: You can only import an employee pension record once by way of this import. If an employee who already has a pension record in Dayforce is included in a subsequent import, the new pension record isn’t imported. After you have added initial pension records using this import, you can continue adding records directly in the Payroll > Pension screen of People or import notification records using the Benefits UK Pension Ongoing Import. The UK Pension Employee Data Import allows you to import existing pension records into Dayforce from another application. After you import these records, they will be assessed the next time you run the Calculate Payroll background job. The imported records are displayed in Pensions > Administration and in the Payroll > Pension screen of the People feature for individual employees.

For every import, you must ensure the following:

  • Review the Benefits UK Pension Import background job in the Job logs tab of System Admin > Background Jobs.
  • Check the BenImportTaskLog.
  • Verify the imported records in the Payroll > Pension screen of People.

If the import job fails, an error shows for the Benefits UK Pension Import in the Job Logs tab of System Admin > Background Jobs. Dayforce also creates an error folder under the import path.

If the job completes successfully but records are rejected during the import, the associated error messages are stored in the BenImportTaskLog.
