The W-2C tab in USA Year End loads with a toolstrip containing a Year drop-down list and with the Refresh, Cutoff Dates, and Reports buttons, illustrated in the following screenshot:
If you specify a year for which W-2C forms have been requested or if the period opens up for a year (after Martin Luther King Jr. Day (the third Monday of January each year)), the toolstrip in the W-2C tab expands to include more options. When you commit W-2C forms by clicking Process Job > Commit, the application shows a dialog box with the following important information that you should consider:
Dayforce Tax Service (DTS) will be filing your Forms W-2C with the Social Security Administration (SSA) and other jurisdictions.
Copies of the Forms W-2C will be sent to DTS on your behalf.
DTS will accept Forms W-2C at any time, but we recommend that you wait until you are confident that all corrections for the year have been made. This will minimize any DTS W-2C filing and amendment fees, in addition to multiple filing with the agency(s).
More information about W-2C and Amendments can be found in the Dayforce QE Packet on support.dayforce.com or by contacting DTS directly.
Reminder: Please print the committed W-2Cs from the application and distribute to the employees. You might use the Employer Copy of W-2C report to mass print if necessary.
The Employee Multi-Employee Selector
The Employee Multi-Employee Selector is located in the dialog box for adding or editing W-2C requests. This selector is available when you are creating a request for W-2C forms to be generated for employees (W-2C Request > Add) or for editing any existing W-2C requests (W-2C Request > Edit). You can use this selector to choose which employees to include in the W-2C request that you are adding or editing.
The selector shows a list of all available employees in the year in the dialog box. You can filter the names in the list by using the default filters Name, Number, Pay Group, Status, and Works At Location, and you can add other filters.
You can select one or more employees in the list of those in the Available Employees section and click Add to move them to the Selected Employees section, or you can click All to move all of the available employees to the Selected Employees section.
